Moulson resigns and some NHL All Star festivities chatter | January

The Islanders did the right thing by signing Matt Moulson to a 3 year deal yesterday afternoon. The 27 year old was very deserving of the $9.4 million he will earn over the next 3 years. Moulson has 17 goals, 12 assists and 29 points for the Islanders this season.

"Extremely excited to have another 3 years with a great organization," Moulson wrote on his twitter account. "I love LI and am honored to be a part of this team."

Of course Long Island is happy to have Matt Moulson committed to the Islanders, especially after a certain someone didn't want to come here. Moulson has been a fan favorite since he arrived on Long Island and has flourishedhaving a break out season last year scoring 30 goals. Not to mention how well he has clicked with John Tavares both on and off the ice.

Great job by Garth Snow getting a deal done so that fans have one less thing to worry about and we can end the ridiculus trade rumors.

All Star weekend begins tonight with the fantasy draft starting at eight o'clock on Versus. Will have my thoughts on the first ever fantasy draft up later tonight.
