During my day at Ice Works this past Sunday I had the opportunity to speak to Kyle Okposo about the possibility of him becoming the future captain on the Islanders. Last season Kyle's name began to appear in conversations about becoming the next captain. When asked about it Sunday Kyle Okposo said, "there's been some talk, but right now Doug (Weight) is our captain." Okposo went on to say," if that time comes it'd be great, but Dougie is our captain right now." For now Kyle isn't giving captaincy any thought, but I'm sure his name will continue to come up in the conversation.

In case you missed it, you can listen to the whole conversation between me and Kyle here.
