In the past two games played by the Isles, they have been playing pretty well. It all started when the Islanders defeated the Devils 4-2 at the Coliseum. Martin Biron was in net that night. Then, on Sunday, the Isles beat the Leafs at the Coliseum 4-1. Rolie was in net. Withy the absence of Rick DiPietro, Biron and Roloson will share time in net again, just like it used to be while DP was rehabbing. Congrats to Matt Moulson for scoring his 25thgoal of the season Sunday afternoon against the Maple Leafs. He now will work to get to 30.

Islanders captain Doug Weight announced that he would miss the remainder of the season with shoulder surgery, which he has been battling an injury for some part of the season. Also, Rob Schremp will not return this season while he is getting knee surgery due to an injury he suffered against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Blake Comeau has been playing the best hockey of his career this past month. He has been making better decisions with the puck, shooting more while he has the oppurtunity, and setting up great plays. He had 2 assists Sunday, and had a great shorthanded set up for Sean Bergenheim Saturday against the Devils. He will be sticking around for a while if he continues to preform like this.

Tonight, the Isles will face off against the Vancouver Canucks at 10 pm. Trent Hunter did make the trip with the Isles, and Matt Martin has been sent back down to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. I'm sure if another forward gets injured, he will get another call up. Hes been playing some good hockey, standing up for his teammates and making some good passes.

*Also, Kyle Okposo is listed day to day with an undisclosed injury. That will most likely bring Jeff Tambellini back into the lineup.
