So this is how it ends, the same way it started. An overtime lose guaranteed the Islanders a seat at the lottery drawing this Tuesday. Matt Moulson Scored his 30th goal, John Tavares finished up with 24 goals, and Kyle came one short of 20 goals this year.
The Islanders fought and scrapped through their last game of the season, only to fall short in overtime. Former Islander Eric Godard scored, Sidney Crosby scored twice (50 and 52). Evgeni Malkin scored twice (27 and 28), and Jordon Leopold scored the game winner in OT (11).
So that's how it ends, a fun game to watch and spot at the lottery table Tuesday night. On a more personal note Id like to thank everyone who's has been reading the blog, whether everyone and a while or on a daily basis. IHB has accomplished a lot this season and it would not be what it is today without the help of the other writers, Kenny, dave, Nick, and Eric. So thank you to them for a successful first season.
So get set hockey fans as we head into the post season and some more great hockey coverage
