The former first round pick by the Oilers, Rob Schremp was placed on waivers and after mulling it over last night Scott Gordon and Garth Snow thought they'd give him a shot. Although his numbers last season weren't empressive, Actually they were an awful 7 goals and 35 assists. He was an accomplished junior player but has yet to translate those into NHL succes. The change of scenory may be a good change says some, but he does come with alittle bit of an ego says others. Either way you look at it the Islanders really cant lose, they pick up a player who could turn it around and produce in the Islanders system along with someone who could plug the holes left by injuires to Frans nielson and Doug Weight. Even if he is a flop he comes at a cheap price that doesnt hurt the Isles, either way this is another player to keep an eye on.
